Rev. Clarence d'Entremont claims that Elizabeth was a child of Julie LeBlanc.
Rev. Clarence d'Entremont claims that Mathilde was a child of Julie LeBlanc.
From Rev. Clarence d'Entremont's History of Quinan:
"We find [Francois Christiern's] name in the registers in Eel Brook where on February 28, 1827, he was godfather for a boy that Pere Sigogne had named Francois Gauthier born April 14, 1823 son of Julie LeBlanc (a Honore). Law officers placed him in the care of Francois Christiern. We do not know what became of Francois Gauthier."
It is odd that Rev. d'Entremont would say this, for elsewhere in his Dulain Genealogy he specifically lists the descendants of Francois, son of Julie LeBlanc (dau. of Honore) and Eudes Dulain.
It is possible that Julie had two sons named Francois and that the one fathered by Eudes Dulain was not named "Gauthier"; however, the 1881 census record for Francois Dulain (whose household includes the widowed Julie, age 90) implies a date of birth very close to 1823, if not earlier.
It is possible that Francois Gauthier was eventually adopted by Eudes Dulain following his marriage to Julie and took his surname, in which case his lineage through Eudes Dulain is adoptive, not biological.
It is also possible that Rev. d'Entremont erred in his Dulain genealogy and that this Francois is actually the son of Eudes and Magdaline Scholastique.
