Announcements:
In many previous years, the Tidy Bowl has been a low-scoring affair as NFL teams rest their star players in the final week of the season. So when the Michiana Mud Hens scored 64 points in their first-ever championship game, youd think they already would be dusting off a prominent spot in the trophy case. Not so fast, said the Wellston Bears.
In their first season under new ownership, the Bears capped off a stellar season by scoring 91 points en route to the franchises first championship, setting a new record for the most points ever scored in the final game. The 155 combined points are also a Tidy Bowl record.
Reports out of Wellston indicate that the citizens of the community are happy, albeit somewhat subdued, perhaps due in part to the fact that no one in the town was following the progress of the game as they were all out hunting, fishing, or they simply did not own a television. When the teams former home in southeast Asia was reached for comment on the success of the departed franchise, they muttered something unintelligible and most likely untranslatable. Meanwhile, the Michiana area has been overrun by rioting coots and other angry waterfoul, but the Wellston hunters should have the situation under control relatively soon, with numerous cookouts to follow.
Thanks again for another great season! Watch your email for further information about the award presentation. Have a great new year, and see everyone in the fall!
