A noted fanfic author recently expanded his website to include a
page full of "rants" - tirades about this and that that are entertaining
or merely angry. I like the idea - a more-or-less public (I have
no illusions about how many people are really going to see this page) space
where I can let loose with my feelings. Catharsis, HO!
That said, I decided not to name this page "Rants" because I want to do more with it than express hysterical anger or joy. This page will contain my thoughts on a lot of different subjects. Some of it will be silly anecdotes from my life. (Most of these will be intelligible only to those who share my profession, but hey.) Some of it will be movie and book reviews. Some of it will be philosophical and theological musings. And yes, some of it will be flat-out ranting.
I can guarantee you that you will offended (or at least slightly put off) by something on this page. I'm not going to try to be offensive, but nobody has the same thoughts, perceptions, and feelings as anyone else and I tend to be somewhat contrarian by reflex. This page is primarily for and about me... but if you want to try to pick up a discussion on a topic I cover, I'll at least give your email to kerryms@yahoo.com a read and maybe even a reply.
