Outlook Outlook Express 6 Setup

Requirements:

Email setup in Outlook Express 6

1. At the top of the screen, click on Tools and then Accounts
2. Click on the tab that says Mail, and then click on Add, and then Mail.
3. This will open up the mail setup wizard, the first thing it will ask you for is a display name, that is the name that will appear in the “From” column when you send someone an email.  Type in whatever name you want in there (ex. “John Smith”) and then click on Next.
4. Now type in the email address for the account that you are setting up and click on Next.
5. Now it should ask you for mail servers, the incoming mail is: mail.maplenet.net and the outgoing is: smtp.maplenet.net (please note, if these settings are not entered correctly, the email account will not function).  After entering these settings, click Next.
6. The account name for the email account should already be entered, so simply type in the password.  Leave the “Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)” box unchecked.  If you want to have your computer remember the password for your email so you don’t have to type it in every time, check the box that says “Remember password.”  Click on Next and then Finish.
7. Congratulations!  You have successfully created your email account.
